Lux Vocalis

Originally born from a university project, the Lux Vocalis ensemble has developed this taste for studying the repertoire with an analytical and historical approach.
The idea is to seek the finest interpretation of the harmonic colors and to bring out the contrapuntal lines as clearly as possible. This makes it possible to reproduce as faithfully as possible the emotion desired by the composer.

Its repertoire ranges from pre-baroque music to contemporary music with an avowed aim of making clear and evident the writing finesse of composers who have marked the choral repertoire.

March 2017, the Lux Vocalis ensemble was entrusted with the world premiere of the piece "Carmen 2" by Maltese composer Joseph Vella at the Abbey of Neumünster.

Since then, the Lux Vocalis ensemble has distinguished itself by being invited to various festivals, participating in Baroque Operas, contemporary creations or plays, notably with Romane Bohringer and Matthieu Sampeur.

December 2021, Lux Vocalis celebrates the 140th anniversary of the death of WA Mozart performing his Requiem. This will be the first collaboration between Lux Vocalis and the Luxembourg Chamber Players.
